01 / The role
An education marketing consultant plans and improves how an institute attracts, qualifies and converts students, so ad spend turns into admissions, not just leads.
Most institutes don’t have a lead problem. They have a system problem: ads, landing pages, forms, CRM and counsellor follow-up run separately, and nobody can say which campaign produced which admission. My job is to connect those pieces and fix the weakest one first.
02 / The approach
A four-step funnel I use with every institute. Each step fixes a different leak between the first ad click and the final admission.
Meta, Google and LinkedIn ads shaped around the course, the audience and the admission cycle, including Malayalam and Tamil creatives where they lower cost per lead.
PAID MEDIA & STRATEGYLanding pages and lead forms that match the ad’s promise and ask the right qualifying questions, so counsellors spend time on serious students.
LANDING PAGES & LEAD QUALITYCRM routing and WhatsApp replies within 60 seconds, with nurture sequences for students who aren’t ready to join today.
CRM & WHATSAPP AUTOMATIONReporting that connects spend to qualified leads, admissions, cost per admission and revenue, so you scale what actually enrols students.

04 / Who I work with
Different institutes lose admissions in different places. These are the four I know best.
High lead volumes, sales teams to feed and acquisition costs that creep up as you scale. I build qualification and routing so sales calls the right leads first.
EXAMPLE: BROTOTYPEBatches to fill on a deadline. Local Meta ads, course-search Google campaigns, demo-class funnels and fast WhatsApp follow-up.
EXAMPLE: BRIDGEONLong decision journeys with parents involved. Programme-level campaigns, counsellor CRM and tracking across a full admission cycle.
EXAMPLE: AIMER BUSINESS SCHOOLSmaller budgets where every rupee counts. Tight targeting and lean funnels that keep cost per lead low.
EXAMPLE: ENGLISH CAFÉI’ve also worked with Transparent Academy, Hustlify, CareerGram, ArivuPro Academy, English RootMe, Metafora and TLH.
05 / Your options
All three can work. The right choice depends on your budget, how fast you need results and who will do the day-to-day execution.
| Factor | Education marketing consultant | Marketing agency | In-house team |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly cost | Lower than a full agency. You pay for senior expertise, not a large team. | Higher. Covers a team of specialists. | Salaries, tools and hiring time. |
| Time to start | Days | 1–3 weeks | 1–3 months to hire |
| Who works on your account | A senior specialist, directly | Depends on who is assigned | Depends on who you hire |
| Execution capacity | Focused scope, scaling with partner support when needed | High: creative, media and development | Full-time, but limited to the team’s skills |
| Best for | Institutes that want senior strategy and hands-on execution without hiring a team | Large, multi-campus budgets that need a lot of creative output | Large, steady, always-on budgets |
I work as a consultant directly, and through ScalEd Marketing when an institute needs a full team for execution.

Start a conversation08 / About
I’ve spent 5+ years inside education businesses: in the campaigns, the CRM and the conversations about what’s working.
I started at Digital Compound, an agency, running paid ads, websites and lead generation. At Brototype I moved from executive to marketing team lead within a year and managed ₹1.3Cr+ in ad spend over three years. At Bridgeon I was Head of Media & Marketing, and at AIMER Business School I was Head of Marketing.
Today I consult with institutes directly and run ScalEd Marketing, a growth agency that builds complete admission funnels for education businesses.
09 / FAQ
Quick answers about working with an education marketing consultant.
An education marketing consultant plans and improves how an institute attracts, qualifies and converts students. That covers ad strategy on Meta, Google and LinkedIn, landing pages, lead qualification, CRM and WhatsApp follow-up, and tracking that connects ad spend to admissions and revenue. The goal is more admissions at a lower cost per admission, not just more leads.
Fees depend on scope. Ongoing campaign management is usually a monthly retainer, and one-time builds such as landing pages or CRM automation are priced as projects. Your ad budget is paid directly to Meta or Google on top of the fee. Share your courses, monthly ad budget and lead volume and you’ll get a clear quote within 24 hours.
Lead flow usually starts within the first week of new campaigns going live. Improvements in cost per lead and lead quality need around 4–6 weeks of data, and admission gains show within one admission cycle. That’s why every engagement starts with a 90-day plan.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) is usually the biggest source of student leads because of its reach and low cost per lead. Google Search captures students who are already searching for a course, and LinkedIn works for working professionals and B2B programmes. Regional-language creatives often help: a Tamil-language Meta campaign became one of Bridgeon’s strongest channels.
Both. I can build and manage campaigns, landing pages and automations hands-on, or guide your in-house team with a plan, reviews and reporting. For larger scopes, my agency ScalEd Marketing handles full execution.
Yes. I’m based in Calicut and work remotely with institutes across India, with in-person meetings available across Kerala. My past campaigns have targeted audiences in Kerala and Tamil Nadu in Malayalam, Tamil and English.
Cost per lead is ad spend divided by leads; cost per admission is ad spend divided by the students who actually join. On a ₹50,000 budget, a campaign with ₹100 leads and 10 admissions costs ₹5,000 per admission, while one with ₹200 leads and 20 admissions costs ₹2,500 per admission. The second is the better campaign, even though its leads look more expensive.
